Back At It

Today was the start of a new week and a new push. I’m back on track. Pam’s not working this week so I have no excuse to skip my workouts or to make poor food choices. I recorded my weight in Physics Diet for the first time since July 4th. That doesn’t seem like a very long time, but even in the few weeks before that, I wasn’t recording very religiously. I also have been inputting my foods and exercises into my phone using lose it! again. I even went for a 4 mile run while Pam watched the kids at the splash park this morning. I ran loops around the park while they splashed around in the water. I love it when my kids see me exercising. Even though I’m not actively parenting, I feel like such a good dad because they see me making time to be active. They were so excited to see me every time I made it back around the loop to them that it made me run just a little bit harder. Today’s run (at 10 AM) was really hot. It’s supposed to be 102 here in Salem today. It never gets that hot here so we’ll not be spending that much time outside this afternoon. But we all had a good time and I feel like I got a good workout in, even though it wasn’t very long.

Lots of Food+No Exercise!

Lots of Food+No Exercise!

Since we’re disclosing everything in an effort to get back on track, here are my stats and my current physics diet graph with all the missing data:

Weight 182.8
BF 22%

It’s not pretty, but I’m getting it turned back around…Starting now!

Sometimes, a break can be really nice and let us save up energy to start again. Way to go with getting back on the horse :-)

That’s an excellent example to set for your children. My parents were both couch potatoes and they actually tried to steer me away from physical activities because I was kind of clumsy and they were afraid the other kids would tease me. I’m sure they thought they were doing the right thing at the time.

In this day and age where obesity among children is growing, it’s up to the parents first to teach their kids on how toi be active and healthy. Great job!
