This is the beginning of the final week of the Get Fit Slowly one hundred pushup challenge. Actually, I suspect very few (if any) of you have reached week six, but I will continue to post the schedule. Some of you are beginning week five. But many of us — myself included — are still repeating earlier weeks. That’s fine. Just keep pumping out those pushups until you’re ready to move on.

If you are in week six, here’s your schedule:

Man, that looks tough. I can’t even imagine doing that many pushups yet. If you’re doing week five, do this instead:

And here are links to the schedules for past weeks:

Update: I did week four, day one this morning. It was my best batch of pushups yet. I powered through the 16, 13, and 13. My set of 11 was a little weak, but only in comparison to the first three sets. But I powered through my max set, almost squeaking out a 20th pushup. Felt good!

I just found this work out on the lazy man and health web site. I’m starting it right away. But I’m going to modify it a little. I’m going to make it a full body workout. It’s going to end up a 300 workout…100 push ups …100 squats…100 crunches…at the end. We’ll see how I do. I’ll try and keep track of my weight lose.

Alas, I also lost it at Week 5 day 1. But I can’t complain - I notice my strength has risen considerably for putting in such minimal time and effort.

I also noticed a correlation between the amount of push-ups performed to the number and combination of swear words I produced.

Keep up the good work, JD. I’m a big fan of GRS.

I’d be amazed if anyone managed to go right through the program in one go.

I’m not sure where I found this originally, but I just finished week 1. I had actually been doing push ups as part of my weekly routine before this, so the first week was fairly easy. Looking ahead and I’m sure I’ll end up repeating a few of those weeks.

Thanks for having such great sites JD, you really have me step it up both financially and fitness wise since I discovered them.

i failed WeekFive, DayOne for the 2nd time, but that was from doing the middle colum of WeekFour.
Gonna try get through the hardest level across all of WeekFour, seems the only way i’m gonna be able to beat WeekFive.
Best advice seems to be, persevere, don’t be ashamed to go back a week. It ain’t a race!
